News From Pizzicato...

May 31, 2013 Publication of two new music software

Harmony and Counterpoint

This new software gives you tools to create melodic accompaniments based on the rules of classical harmony and counterpoint. The results can be used with much advantages in any music style.

Alternative Notation

Developed with the collaboration of Christian Pörksen, specialist in alternative music notation systems, the Alternative Notation module helps you explore non conventional musical notation systems based on ciphers. The HMN-Jianpu (HMN = Hamburg Music Notation) is implemented through the use of 12 symbols (digits and letters), making it easier to learn, to read and to transpose. The traditional Jianpu system can also be used, as well as a few others that can be customized.

For this occasion, we have published a new presentation video of Pizzicato 3.5. You can watch it on the video page:

March 19, 2010 Publication of Pizzicato 3.5
Pizzicato 3.5 offers new features as well for present users as for persons who do not have Pizzicato yet. It is the result of several surveys done in the past years, formally or informally.

Pizzicato 3.5 now exists in 11 different versions. The basic idea is that Pizzicato can be used for different types of uses. Until now, Pizzicato had all the features, Pizzicato Beginner was a general and more limited program and Pizzicato Light was a first approach to music software and sheet music printing. These three versions still exist, but 8 more specific versions are now available, some for a very small budget.
